Bixby children’s librarian Gail Martin is available on a limited basis for outreach programs at registered daycare facilities in the Addison Northwest District. Services include the delivery of books and other materials for loan and scheduled Storytime presentations. For more information about Children’s Outreach Programs call the library.
Every Thursday at 10:30 a.m. children’s librarian Gail Martin hosts a multi-age Storytime geared to preschool children. Each Storytime revolves around a theme. Stories are read, some American sign language is taught and there is also an activity.

|July 22||Matt Witten, Champlain Troubadour||From the Lake Champlain Maritime Museum, Matt knows lots of songs and stories about Lake! All ages.|
|July 29||May Poduschnick||Laugh, sing, shake and make music with May! Target ages- 1-4
|August 5||Rainbow Folks with Bethany & Gail||We’ll read a favorite story and then get colorful with T-shirts! We'll spray dye t-shirts to take home. If it's raining, an alternate activity may be planned. We can provide some t-shirts; bring one with you if you have one! (wear old clothes) Target ages: 5-adult. * register in advance!!|

|August 26||Jay Cook and Bill Shontz||Ride the wave of these fun, silly and serious songs all about that wet stuff: rivers, oceans, and soggy animals. They bring many instruments, such as Bill's many wind instruments and Jay's calabash water drum, ½ filled metal salad bowls, penny whistles and more! All ages.|

The Booked for Bikes Reading Program begins on June 15 and ends August 27. The Bike Drawing is on Vergennes Day, Saturday August 28 at 12:00 noon in the Vergennes City Park.

Free bike helmets will once again be available at the Bixby Library on Vergennes Day. They are provided by Safe Kids Addison County and fitted by members of Vergennes Area Rescue Squad.

Feed your mind and your body! Every Wednesday at 12:00, the Bixby Library will host a free summer lunch program open to all children ages 18 and under. Talk to Gail at 877-2211 for more information.
