Description: Multi-colored circular piece of textile with lace fringe and handcut center ornament. It is assembled with a series of pennants depicting warships from the 1st half of the 20th century, predominantly from the United States. Donation came with photograph of donor, Bruce Nye, at gravesite of maker, Hulda J. Martenson in Kennebunkport, Maine, two photographs of Hulda with family, and wikipedia articles about some vessels depicted on placemat. Inscription/Marks: a series of pennants depicting warships from the 1st half of the 20th century, predominantly from the United States, with vessel types and tonnage.
