Bixby Library Welcomes VINS for a Zoom “Raptor Encounter”

Join the Bixby Library as we welcome experts from the Vermont Institute of Natural Sciences (VINS) for an interactive Zoom “Raptor Encounter” on Monday, October 5th, from 10:30 – 11:30am.

We’ll meet falcons, hawks, and owls and learn about the predator prey relationships, food webs, and the interdependence of the natural world. We’ll learn the defining characteristics that classify birds as raptors, and their adaptations that make them keen winged predators.

This presentation is suitable to guests of all ages; and is open to the general public. Please register in advance of the event, if possible, by clicking on the link here. Once you register, you’ll receive an email with the meeting ID and password for Monday’s event.

This event was funded through a generous grant from the Vermont Department of Libraries; and through the support of our patrons in Addison, Ferrisburgh, Panton, Vergennes and Waltham.
