Bixby Sidewalk Chalk Art Competition/Exhibition (10 AM to 2PM)
Grab a friend or go solo – create a masterpiece on your own square of the Bixby sidewalk. A winner for each of our three themes (Color Our World, Most Creative, and Home Sweet Home) will be announced at 2:00pm on the Vergennes City Park Bandstand. In front of the Bixby Library

Make your own Paper Plate Frisbee (10 AM to 2 PM)
Create and decorate your own special frisbee made from a paper plate and test it out! In front of the Bixby Library

Booked for Bikes & Chalk Art Winners Announced (2:00 PM)
Winners announced and prizes awarded for the BIG summer reading contest sponsored by the Vergennes Rotary & the Bixby Library. Enter by Saturday, August 16th, 2025 to win. Plus, the Bixby Library Sidewalk Chalk Art Competition winners will be announced and prizes awarded.

Friends of the Bixby Book Sale (9 AM to 1 PM)
Some books will be displayed on the front lawn of the library, weather permitting. All other books will be available in the Otter Creek Room in the lower level at the Bixby, via the back parking lot.
