Visiting the library

Come on in for browsing, computers, printing, Wi-Fi, relaxing, returns (no fees/no shame for “Covid overdue” books!) and catching up. Hours through the summer will be:

  • Tuesdays, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
  • Wednesdays, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
  • Thursdays, 2 p.m. to 7 p.m.
  • Fridays, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
  • Saturdays, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The Bixby is following Vermont Forward Plan and Vergennes city Covid guidelines. Currently, we are asking patrons to socially distance and wear masks if not vaccinated. We have large air filters installed through out the building. The library will also continue to offer online book reservations for pickup at the circulation desk for those who just wish to stop by. Patrons who are not comfortable entering the building can call us at (802) 877-2211 and we will bring your books to you.

We have greatly increased our digital offerings. Please check out our online resources to find out about all the ebooks, audiobooks, databases, and more that you can access with your Bixby Library card.  Look at our events calendar for programming. There are museum and park passes available for three day check out.

If you live in Addison, Ferrisburgh, Panton, Vergennes or Waltham you are eligible for a Bixby Library card. With the return of open hours, please come in and ask at the circulation desk to apply for a card. If you applied for a card while we have been closed please ask at the circulation desk to retrieve your card.
