We have greatly increased our digital offerings. Please check out our digital library to discover eBooks, audiobooks, databases, and more that you can access with your Bixby Library card.  Look at our events calendar for fun and educational weekly programming. There are museum and park passes available for three-day checkout and untraditional items through the Library of Things.

The Bixby Library is also part of the Vergennes Walking Tour, which features many historic sites throughout the Little City with the Big Heart.

Parking

The City of Vergennes regulates the parking lot behind the Bixby Library.  Per the signage posted in the lot, on the Bixby’s Facebook page, and on the Bixby Website: “Overnight Winter Parking: 8 pm – 7 am. Cars left in the lot after 7 am will be towed at the owners’ expense. Effective December 1 – March 31.  – City of Vergennes.” This allows the library to have the parking lot plowed in time to open to staff, volunteers, and the public without cars in their way.

To retrieve your vehicle if it has been towed from the Bixby Library Parking Lot, contact Green Mountain Towing at 802-363-1326.  Call them to arrange a time to retrieve your vehicle.  Green Mountain Towing is located at 192 Pine Oak Park, Vergennes, VT 05491.  Green Mountain Towing charges $125.00.
