This unique and old fashioned approach to storytelling will charm the low tech audience.  Meredith creates 3-4 crankier picture shows written, illustrated, and performed by her. Illustrations are hand painted on a scroll and inserted into a wooden “Crankie” box.  As she tells the story, she turns the crank and the pictures move. After the show audience members are invited to see how it all works. Live musical interludes and sing along are always a part of her shows, including violin, harmonica and sometimes trumpet… She has performed at Detroit Institute for the Arts, Brooklyn Folk Festival, Ballard Puppetry Museum, Bread and Puppet and her animated videos have screened at MoMA, the National Art Gallery and PBS.
