Writing Through Grief Series
January 17 @ 5:30 pm - 6:45 pm
This series of four evening workshops will introduce writing as a companion to grief. What can our writing tell us about our journey with loss? Can it help with a healing process and the discovery of a new paradigm as we discover who we are now in a world that has changed each one of us? The structure of the workshop will provide time for writing and an invitation to share our stories. Bring paper, a journal or a notebook along with one or multiple writing implements such as pens, colored pens, pencils and/or markers. You may also bring photos, pictures or items to glue in your books if you wish. Previous writing or journaling experience is not necessary.
Workshop Leader Diana Raphael was a literacy teacher in Addison Northwest as well as an instructor at Champlain College in the education program. She lost her husband of almost 50 years, 2 years ago and has found solace in a daily writing practice.
Space in this workshop series is limited, email cedar.winslow@bixbylibrary.org to sign up and indicate any accommodations you may require.
