Are you signing a lease for the first time? Or are you a landlord who is wondering what your responsibilities are?

Join us for our Fair Housing workshop, where we talk about fair housing protections, best practices for landlords, and what we can do to advocate for more inclusive communities. Presented by CVOEO’s Housing Advocacy team, these workshops are for tenants, landlords, and all community members in-between. Our Fair Housing workshop will focus on who is protected under state and federal Fair Housing Law, what housing discrimination can look and sound like, and what we can do to prevent housing discrimination.

Our workshops will focus on introducing relevant information and tools participants can put directly into practice. We encourage participants to bring questions to the workshop for discussion. While this workshop is meant to be an introduction to these topics, Vermont Tenants offers free weekly workshops for a deeper dive on tenants’ rights and responsibilities (as well as finding housing and financially preparing to rent),  which you can register for here. The Fair Housing Project  offers more expansive workshops on Fair Housing upon request.
